Super Aguri with Takuma Sato & Anthony Davidson

Force India with Adrian Sutil & Giancarlo Fisichella

McLaren with Lewis Hamilton & Heikki Kovalainen

One new team… Force India…with a Ferrari engine… let’s see what it does! :)

Three drivers might need introduction…

The Brazilian Nelsinho Piquet or as some call him Nelson Piquet Junior. He is the son of the great former F1 driver Nelson Piquet! Now he will be driving next to Alonso in Renault… All I’m hoping for is for him to be better than Alonso so I could see Alonso angry and upset again! :P I know it’s kind of evil but I can’t help disliking Alonso! :P any way I do hope he would do a great job and give even a better name to his dad’s! :D

Timo Glock the German driver! He drove 2 races for Jordan-Ford in 2004… he got out with his first ever 2 points on F1 racing, but didn’t continue the year after till now… hopefully he got better training and is here to give us a good race!

French guy Sebastien Bourdais is the last one… he is totally new for me… I read some stuff about him and did find out he has been driving for Formula 3000, F3, Champ Car World Series, Grand Prix of Endurance, and few more… Seems as good driver… Hope he just adds action to the race! :)

KIMI RÄIKKÖNEN IS THE 2007TH F1 CHAMPION!!!

Filed under: F1, NEWS, PLEASURES — by noracassandra @ 5:40 pm

Amazing race! I sat down at 6:30 pm (18:30) to watch the final race of F1 this season. As soon as it was almost starting weld al-ma6aba calls to have short chat hoping for our favorite driver to win even as he said it’s been said he has 0% chance.

As soon as the lights went off and the cars started on the track Massa blocks Hamilton and gives second place to Kimi. Now it’s the 16th lap and Hamilton is fighting to get back and he does pass Nakajika on the 18th lap.

Massa keeps breaking his own fastest laps all over and over again! He really gives his country a show they deserve!

At the 20th lap Massa pits and Räikkönen records a fattest lap and takes first position just to get in and pits.

Alonso gets to pit on the 22nd, and Hamilton right after. Hamilton comes out with fuel just for 15 laps, and with supper soft tyres! It looked like they are trying to keep him light and fast and get him back soon to the pit!

On the lap 32 Nakajima pits getting a drama action in the pit. Knocking down 2 of the mechanics but both get up looking well and not injured.

Kubica passes Alonso at the 34th lap taking 3P while Hamilton passes Vettel for 10P.

Sadly my other Finnish driver Heikki Kovalainen crashed his Renault at the turn three in lap 38 and was out in the final race of the season! :(

The 50th lap Massa pits and Räikkönen leads. He pits right after at the 53rd lap but comes out in front of Massa to keep the lead while less than 20 laps left. I was hoping things stay exactly the same Kimi first Massa second Alonso 4th and Hamilton 8th! If it did Kimi will walk with the champion.

On lap 61st as the half Finn Rosberg tries to dive pass Heidfeld but as a result Kubica makes a pass leaving both of them behind taking 4th place.

On the 64th Trulli pits from P7 giving it to Hamilton. Even with the P7 Räikkönen has still the chance for the champion.

I do have to say that the race was amazing! All drivers gave a good show and tense moments! Just what person wants from the last race of the season!

As for if the race was staged or not, I do have a part of me that believes it was! As the legal probs McLaren has been facing it would have been for their best interest to give the champion to Ferrari! Do I really care? No! I am happy that my ice man is the champion for the first time!!! :D Yes!!! Kimi Räikkönen is the 2007th F1 champion!!!! :D

LIFE IS SO UNFAIR!!!

Filed under: F1, NEWS, PLEASURES — by noracassandra @ 7:05 pm

Click here…. To understand! Kimi Räikkönen and Felipe Massa racing this year for Ferrari. Kimi with 74 points as Massa with 69 at the moment! On the other hand we have Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso that are racing for McLaren-Mercedes with 92 points and 89 points! How did it happen for them to beat Ferrari this year? How did Ferrari stand there watching with out knowing what was going wrong???!!!!

Sad! :( I know many will say this is life and every one will cheat these days even in sports! Where did the sport spirit go? Where is the decency of clean competition? :( So sad!

I do hope still hope Kimi would win the championship and I wish Massa would be second! I do think Alonso and Hamilton should have been banded for the rest of the races this season! And McLaren for this and next season! But what can I say? Life is just UNFAIR!!!

GOOD RACE… NOT WHAT I WISHED FOR THOUGH!!! :(

Filed under: F1, NEWS — by noracassandra @ 1:58 pm

As soon as the red lights went off Räikkönen takes over Heidfeld to the second position! :D And Alonso lost his sixth place to be seventh and after few minutes to be eighth! :P

By the 7th lap Räikkönen has got bit lighter and started catching up with Hamilton that was about 3.1 sec a head of him! I was so amazing watching Räikkönen and Hamilton trading and swapping the fastest lap record for the race through out while the race goes on… There were times when all Hamilton saw from the side mirrors was red of Kimi’s Ferrari!

By the 34th lap the only driver that didn’t pit was Massa! He was taking a great but dangerous chance! As many thought he had nothing to lose!! He pits later on the 36th lap come out with soft tyres and fueled up for some more laps to go!

In the 37th lap Hamilton was a sandwich between the two Ferraris but as Massa was a lap behind the leader he pulled away from the Hamilton-Räikkönen battle.

It was a good race! The last 12 laps I had my heart pumping like a drum because of Räikkönen being so close to Hamilton but not getting any chance to pass!! It was such a close one!

By the end of the race Räikkönen 2nd and breaking the lap record for the race 1.20.047… As This result Ferrari is gains 8 points to be 119 points; while McLaren stays the same due to the penalty they got as the result of yesterday’s incident (F1 QUALIFICATION AT BUDAPEST… GOOD NEWS… BUT NOT SO FAIR!!!)!

S**T… F**K… I’M SO MAD WITH F1 TODAY! I NEED TO COOL DOWN!

Filed under: F1, NEWS, PERSONAL, PLEASURES — by noracassandra @ 4:21 pm

I’m really so unbelievably upset! I think Kimi Räikkönen is one hell of a driver! Maybe even the best right now!! But his bad luck!!! He has had this horrible luck for years now! Ever since he took over McLaren, the engine problems just didn’t stop. And now in Ferrari! Why is it that has to take his sweet hard luck with him???

I love you Kimi, but you have to check with a real good Ennustaja!!! They could help often!! Please my sweet Ice man if you ever get to read this post at least think about it!

So now back to the race! Now every one understands that Räikkönen had just mechanical problems so he was out in his 6th lap! But I have to say I was happy Massa won the race in the end of the day! I was also happy for my other Finnish boys in the track Nico Rosberg, Williams (6th) and Heikki Kovalainen, Renault (7th)!

I was really happy in the beginning of the race when Alonso lost his place when lost control for few seconds! But well I was hit hard after that with Kimi’s terrible luck.

I do like Hamilton though and really nice to see a new young good talent on the circuit!

I’m enjoying my best friend Emmi!! We’re having so much fun! We’ll be going to the Trodos Mountains tomorrow for day time, and then we’ll be going for dinner in Limassol! We’re getting really excited!

I’m also happy because yesterday in the show SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE… GREECE?? Lukia the red headed bimbo is going for the elimination round! And if the judges don’t like her she could be cut off!

And yes I wanted to correct myself when I said Lukas was a Break dancer! He is a hip hop and street dancer! But he might be the only one in the show that actually could break dance! I do hope I get to see him dancing with Yiota!

Oh yes! And I did have my first client in my new work place! She walked out with a big smile on her face!! I was really happy with my work! :D

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE… GREECE?? FIRST CUT…

Filed under: CYPRUS, DANCING, NEWS — by noracassandra @ 7:40 pm

so-you-think-you-can-dance.jpg

The first cut was made in the show! 1 lady and 1 man went home!

The girl who was selected by the judges was Liza 17 years old! Great talent, but needs more experience! I do hope she would not give up because of a bump on her way!

The gentleman was selected was Kostas 32 years old, from
New York… He is a great ballet dancer! I loved the way he moved, but he had to get a good choreography
in 3 days as for other 2 guys whose necks were on line as well! His performance wasn’t as strong as the other two! But he is an incredible dancer!

10 MOST EXPENSIVE CELEBRITY DIVORCES

Filed under: FUNNY, HISTORY, NEWS — by noracassandra @ 1:40 pm

divorcecake.jpg

10. Mick Jagger & Jerry HallE

stimated settlement: $15 to $25 million

The Rolling Stones rocker and Texas supermodel met in 1977 and had two children together before marrying in a traditional Hindi wedding ceremony in Bali, Indonesia, in 1990. Hall filed for divorce in 1999 after learning that Jagger had fathered another woman’s child. Jagger, worth an estimated $325 million at the time, successfully challenged the legality of the Balinese wedding and received an annulment. Hall walked away with between $15 and $25 million, a fraction of Jagger’s estate.

9. Lionel & Diane Richie

Estimated settlement: $20 million

Richie, then 36 and married, met the 18-year-old backup dancer at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. Richie, divorced from his first wife in 1993, married Diane by 1996. The Richies became tabloid favorites when Diane filed for divorce in 2004 and detailed their lavish lifestyle in her alimony petition. Among her claims: a monthly clothing allowance of $15,000; $50,000 a month for manicures, massages and other personal services; and a plastic surgery budget of $20,000 a year.

8. Michael & Diandra Douglas

Estimated settlement: $45 million

Douglas met 19-year-old Georgetown co-ed Diandra Luker in 1977 at a Jimmy Carter inauguration party. They married six weeks later. During the course of the marriage, Douglas became one of Hollywood’s top earning actors, starring in classics like Fatal Attraction, Wall Street and Basic Instinct. Amid rumors of the actor’s infidelities and alcohol abuse, the couple split in 1998. Diandra was awarded an estimated $45 million, plus homes in Beverly Hills and Majorca.

7. James Cameron & Linda Hamilton

Estimated settlement: $50 million

The Titanic director married the Terminator actress in July 1997. They had one daughter together before the marriage tanked 18 months later. Cameron received some $100 million from Paramount for Titanic (which grossed $1.8 billion). Hamilton received half of that, an estimated $50 million, in the divorce settlement.

6. Paul McCartney & Heather Mills

Settlement pending: Possibly more than $60 million

In 2002, the former Beatle wed Mills, a model-activist 30 years his junior. McCartney reportedly shunned Mills’ offer of a prenuptial agreement. By 2006, the pair, who have one child together, split acrimoniously. She accused him of assault; he locked her out of their London home. Rumors of a settlement suggest Mills may get in excess of $60 million–McCartney’s worth is an estimated $700 million.

5. Kevin Costner & Cindy Silva

Estimated settlement: $80 million

The pair, who met at California State University, wed in 1978. During their 16-year marriage, Costner became one of Hollywood’s highest-paid actors, scoring seven Oscars for Dances with Wolves and starring in iconic films like Bull Durham and Field of Dreams. Costner pocketed $50 million in 1991 alone. Because Silva was married to Costner during his peak earning years, she was awarded $80 million, a substantial piece of his net worth.

4. Harrison Ford & Melissa Mathison

Estimated settlement: $85 million

The couple met in 1977 at a dinner with casting director Fred Roos (American Graffiti) and wed in 1983. Six years later, Ford became one of Hollywood’s highest-paid actors when he banked $7 million for Presumed Innocent. By 1995, he was making $20 million a film. The couple divorced in 2004. In addition to her divorce settlement, Mathison negotiated a piece of Ford’s future earnings from films he made while married, including DVD sales of the Indiana Jones trilogy and The Fugitive.

3. Steven Spielberg & Amy Irving

Estimated settlement: $100 million

The couple met when Irving auditioned for Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977). They married in 1985, after Spielberg had already struck it big with his first Indiana Jones flick and ET. They divorced after nearly four years of marriage. Irving successfully contested their prenuptial agreement (reportedly scribbled on a napkin) because she did not have legal representation and was awarded $100 million, roughly half of Spielberg’s fortune at the time. Today, he is worth $3 billion.

2. Neil Diamond & Marcia Murphey

Estimated settlement: $150 million

The crooner married Murphey, a television production assistant, in 1969, before he released his first gold record, Touching You, Touching Me. By the late ’70s, Diamond was one of the most successful musicians in showbiz, grossing upward of $14 million annually. After 25 years of marriage, Murphey filed for divorce in 1994, citing irreconcilable differences. She walked away with half of Diamond’s fortune–she’s “worth every penny,” he later said.

1. Michael & Juanita Jordan

Settlement pending: Possibly more than $150 million

The legendary basketball star married Juanita Vanoy, a Chicago bank officer, in 1989. He had already signed an eight-year, $25 million contract with the Chicago Bulls. He also was earning another $30 million a year from Nike and other endorsement deals. She filed for divorce last year. Over the course of the marriage, Jordan earned more than $350 million. Should Juanita press for half of his assets, she could get more than $150 million in the settlement, making the Jordan divorce the most expensive in entertainment history.

THE SEA DIAMOND

Filed under: CYPRUS, FINLAND, NEWS — by noracassandra @ 6:01 pm

crusie_ship_wideweb__470×2830.jpg

The evacuation of some 1,600 people, passengers and crew members, from a stricken cruise ship was carried out successfully yesterday, after the vessel, run by Louis Hellenic Cruises, ran aground off the coast of the Greek island of Santorini. The Sea Diamond rammed an underwater bed of rocks in the island’s lagoon, formed by a giant volcanic explosion about 3,500 years ago, as it was approaching the main island’s harbor to dock. The hull was damaged and it began to sink about a nautical mile from shore. A distress signal was issued, and the passengers and crew were evacuated over the course of about three hours. The ship sank below the surface of the sea about 18 hours after striking the rocks. The Greek-flagged Sea Diamond issued a distress signal at 4pm yesterday after suffering a hull breach when it apparently struck a reef in Santorini’s volcanic lagoon more than one nautical kilometer off the coast of the picturesque island. There were reports of two passengers missing. Officials in Santorini said that the two missing French passengers, a 45-year-old father and his 16-year-old daughter, were reported missing late on Thursday by another family member who was also on the cruise.“All other passengers have been accounted for,” said George Stathopoulos, spokesman for the cruise line. “We’re certain now.”The weather at the time of the incident was good and the sea was calm.
Six navy rescue helicopters, two military transport planes and various navy vessels along with emergency medical crews took part in the rescue operation aimed at evacuating the vessel.
“For safety reasons it was deemed necessary that we evacuate all 1170 passengers and crew members on board. At the present time no injuries have been reported and all of them have been taken off the ship safely,” a statement from Louise Cruise Lines said yesterday evening. The announcement also mentions that engineers from the Cyprus-based company were on their way to assess the situation. Most passengers were from the United States – a number of them US college students – and from
Germany.
According to the Cypriot Foreign Ministry, two of a total crew of 391 were Cypriot. The vessel was towed off the rocks for the rescue to take place, while Santorini’s regional governor Chrysanthos Roussis said: “We managed to get the ship away from the rocks and tugged the vessel toward the main harbor. The situation has been stabilized.”Passengers said that they were taken from the ship in lifeboats.

American passenger Cliff Jones told the BBC what happened aboard the vessel at the time of the incident.“We were pulling into the port and I think the ship hit a few rocks. The ship tilted so far to the right the first five floors were flooded. We just waited at the top to be rescued,” he said. The Sea Diamond was due back at the port of Piraeus today after having embarked on a five-day island cruise from Greece’s main port on Monday.

The 22,412-tonne ship was built in Finland in 1986, and was significantly refurbished nearly a decade ago. It sails three, four, and seven-day cruises of the Greek
Islands.

Investigators have begun interviewing the Sea Diamond’s captain and crew in connection with the accident. Mrs. Petralla said that whoever was responsible for the ccident would be held accountable “in the strictest way.”
